Opera At The Dish

Fans of the Australian movie ‘The Dish’ will know that Parkes in Central Western NSW is famous for its giant satellite dish. Interesting fact is this dish has been used to assist Nasa in the past and help with space shuttle projects. I’ll be able to report back far more juicy facts after October 8th!

Mr L’Orange and I have yet to visit Parkes, so we have decided to get tickets to the Opera At the Dish so we can go and check out the town, infamous dish & live entertainment all at the same time. This celebration of the dish is taking place on Sat Oct 8th, tickets are $40 per person & you can bring your own picnic and buy drinks & other food at the event.

We are taking a posse of friends with us to make the most of the evening, but I’m sure the hits of Broadway and well known opera numbers will keep us entertained. Watch this space for a full review in Oct.
